Hilton will provide about 1 million hotel room nights nationwide to health care workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
The hotel chain and American Express will fund the donations of the rooms, which will be free for doctors, nurses, EMTs, paramedics and other medical staff.
Gov. Phil Murphy gave the businesses a shoutout on Twitter Tuesday.
The current plan will cover stays from April 13 to May 31. There were no specific numbers listed for New Jersey, but a Hilton spokesperson said the covered stays could happen at any facility that remains open during the pandemic.
Some locations were forced to close and reservations will not be available at those locations. Any Hilton brand including Hampton by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree by Hilton and others is included in the deal.
A spokesman said any facility that was closed due to the pandemic would not have availability listed on Hilton’s website.

Some health care workers have been isolating from their families after work to avoid spreading the virus to their loved ones.
These 10 organizations will provide their members with information on how to get a room:

- American College of Emergency Physicians
- American Hospital Association
- American Nurses Association
- Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association
- Emergency Nurses Association
- National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians
- Society of Critical Care Medicine
- Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants
- Society of Hospital Medicine
