Middletown Township police officers say a 25-year-old is responsible for breaking into a hotel room, where he reportedly assaulted two occupants.

Tyler Burke was arrested Oct. 30, the day of the incident, and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault, and criminal mischief.

Burke was taken to Cumberland County Prison after police investigated.

Officers were initially dispatched to a call for a fight at the Rodeway Inn Hotel, 1239 Harrisburg Pike. The two people who were assaulted said Burke “knocked on the door” and then started “yelling” at them.

They said they then tried to close the door, but Burke broke it open to their occupied room, police said. Once inside, Burke proceeded to assault both of them.

He fled but was located later in the night and arrested.
