A 32-year-old man opened fire on the ninth floor of the Hotel Captain Cook early Sunday during an argument, Anchorage police said.
Police said in an online statement that several people were in a room around 2:45 a.m. when Tate Swanson fired multiple times with a handgun. No one was injured but there were bullet holes in the floor, ceiling and walls of hotel rooms on the ninth floor, police said.
Officers found Swanson outside the hotel at Fifth Avenue and K Street. Police said he had a visible injury to his nose. Officers asked Swanson to drop the handgun, which he had in the waistband of his pants, and he was arrested without incident, the statement said.
Swanson is facing several charges of misconduct involving a weapon, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
