Paris Hilton was crying happy tears when new fiancé Carter Reum proposed.
“I just started shaking and crying because I was so excited, so happy,” Hilton says in the upcoming premiere episode of her podcast, “This Is Paris” (via People).
Hilton also confesses that she expected Reum to propose in December around the time of their one-year anniversary and was upset when no ring materialized.
“When it didn’t happen, I didn’t say anything but I was a little bummed,” she says on the podcast.
After dropping some hints Reum told her, “When I do ask you, it’s going to be something even more amazing than this, so you’ll see soon.”
Reum ended up popping the question earlier this month on a private island during a trip celebrating their 40th birthdays. The businessman also invited members of their families along to share in the occasion.
Right before the big moment Reum instructed Hilton to dress up so they could take some photos on the beach and that’s where he “got down on one knee.”
Hilton added that she “can’t wait” to start a family together. Last month she revealed that the couple is undergoing IVF.
“We have been doing the IVF, so I can pick twins if I like. Kim [Kardashian] is actually the one who told me about that. I didn’t even know anything about it,” she previously said on “The Trend Report with Mara” podcast.
