Imagine relaxing in a bathtub with your usual soaking essentials: a good book, maybe a glass of wine, and a plush robe awaiting your exit. Now, imagine you can get paid to do that in multiple super-luxe hotel bathtubs in New York City. Well, Hotels.com is looking to make that extended spa sesh a reality for one lucky bathtub connoisseur.
The hotel booking site wants to hire someone as its “Bath Boss.” In this crucial role, the expert soaker will spend two nights each at Mr. C Seaport, The Dominick (in the penthouse, FYI!), and The Langham from November 9 to November 15 this year. All the Bath Boss has to do is relax in each hotel’s bath with their favorite soaps and oils and document their journey. For all of the hard work, Hotels.com is giving the new hire a $5k “salary” along with a $1,000 travel stipend and cozy bath accessories—including a custom robe, slippers, and eye mask.
“We are seeing less and less of the hotel bath as space limitations or lack of use push the amenity to only the most luxurious hotels,” Shannon Lovich, the head of PR and communications North America at Hotels.com, said in a press release. “We are passionate about this classic component of hotel life and wanted to bring light to the important cause of saving the hotel bath.”
If you desperately want this relaxing gig (and you’re 21+), you can go to Hotels.com/BathBoss to apply by Friday, October 15 at 12 a.m. CT. Along with basic info, the application asks what makes you the best person for the job. The most qualified applicant will be chosen and notified by October 19. Good luck!
