Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hilton has announced that it will waive certain cancellation fees for areas hit hardest by COVID-19. For areas that have government-imposed travel restrictions imposed, guests will not be penalized for canceling or changing their reservations. For guests who are canceling their reservations, full refunds will be offered.
Hilton has further stated that any other reservation that has already been made for arrival between now and April 30, as well as new reservations booked between now and April 30 for future arrival dates, will have their cancellation fees waived with a 24-hour notice.
Hilton's updated flexible options apply even to reservations originally described as 'non-cancellable ('advanced purchase'). Hilton will also allow these reservations to be rescheduled without any penalties during this time period for those who prefer to change their reservation.
In an effort to help their guests who may have points expiring between now and May 31, 2020, Hilton has stated that they will allow these points to remain valid for an extended period so that guests will be able to get the full use and benefits of the Hilton Honors guest loyalty rewards program.
