Lifestyle hotel brand Canopy by Hilton has introduced its first hotel in the New York City metropolitan area with the opening of the new Canopy by Hilton Jersey City Arts District. Designed by the New York studio of Wilson Associates, the new 211-room hotel draws inspiration from the growing creative community in the robust local Arts District with a diverse breadth of locally sourced artwork that punctuates the interiors.
The Canopy Central Bar & Bistro anchors the hotel as its key social hub, and a 24-hour fitness center, transfer lounge, and 1,400 square feet of event and meeting space round out the onsite amenities. Rich and welcoming common spaces punctuate guestrooms with a palette of dark leathers, wood, brass, plated steel, and notes of burnt autumn. Open shelving and hangers also convey a sense of openness, while local art pieces and textiles instill a rich sense of place.
