FARGO — The Hotel Donaldson announced via Facebook it will close temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The restaurant and hotel posted late Saturday night, Aug. 1, that it would temporarily close the lounge, hotel and HoDo To Go for "safety reasons." In a follow-up announcement posted Sunday morning, the Hotel Donaldson clarified that the closure was due to an employee testing positive.
"Unfortunately, after exceeding required COVID-19 safety practices, someone on our team tested positive," the Sunday morning Facebook post read. "The teammate was not at work when they began feeling ill and hasn’t been at work since."
The Hotel Donaldson said in the post they found out about the positive result online on Saturday. "Before speaking to a health care professional or Fargo Cass Public Health, we decided to close our business," the post continued.
Fargo Cass Public Health is closed on weekends. The Hotel Donaldson said it plans to speak with a medical professional as soon as possible on Monday morning.
