Seeking a pleasant peninsula, Paris Hilton apparently found one in Michigan.
The social media celebrity and savvy business marketer shared photos on Instagram recently that show her living the good life — make that lake life — with her current boyfriend, Carter Reum.
"#LakeLiving with my love," wrote Hilton on a picture posted Saturday of her and Reum lounging in front of a turquoise lake backdrop and wearing M-22 brand hats named after the scenic Leelanau Peninsula highway.
Sunday, Hilton added another photo, this one with the caption "LakeLife is beautiful."
Hilton and Reum were spotted together in January at Golden Globe parties. The couple made their relationship Instagram official in April.
Reum has been described as a Los Angeles entrepreneur who co-founded the vodka brand VEEV with his brother, Courtney. Together, they run an investment firm called M13 (hmmm, that's the same name as a Michigan trunkline highway that runs from Saginaw to Flint).
The brothers wrote a 2018 book titled, "Shortcut Your Startup: Speed Up Success with Unconventional Advice from the Trenches."
Reum's family has strong ties to Traverse City through his late father, W. Robert Reum, a noted Chicago businessman who died in 2017 at age 74.
Reum was a "longtime Traverse City enthusiast and a patron of the arts for the northern Michigan vacation spot, according to his obituary. After his death, his family asked that donations be made in his memory to the Traverse Symphony Orchestra or the city's Old Town Playhouse.
Reum's mother-in-law was Elnora Toldo Milliken, the founder and violinist for what became the Traverse City orchestra. Reum and his wife, Sherry, made a $100,000 pledge in 2007 for an endowment fund in Milliken's name.More: William Milliken remembered as a bipartisan figure who was dedicated to Michigan
Milliken's husband, John, was a brother of the late Gov. William Milliken, whose memorial service was held last week at an open-air venue at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, a short drive from Traverse City.
The Milliken family has been tied to Traverse City history ever since the launching of the now-gone Milliken’s Department Store in 1873.

Hilton's latest project is "This Is Paris," a YouTube documentary that delves into the serious side of the international icon and the mental abuse she endured as a teenager at boarding school. It's set to premiere Sept. 14 on her YouTube channel.
