The Rochester Institute of Technology has acquired a former Radisson hotel that's located next to its campus.
Rochester Airport Hospitality gifted the former hotel to RIT, which has more than 170 rooms.
The college says the hotel will be used to house students if RIT runs out of rooms at its dorms this year because of having to restrict the number of students allowed in each room to two.
RIT tells Spectrum News the hotel won't house students that have to quarantine for 14 days.
The college also says it plans to renovate the hotel and use it to house students and guests in the future.
