FLINT, MI — A new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in a historic downtown Flint bank building is getting ready to welcome guests for the first time.
The $36.5 million, 11-story hotel is located at 110 W. Kearsley St., formerly Genesee County Savings Bank. The historic building, which sat vacant for decades, was the city’s second skyscraper when construction was completed in 1920 and once housed the Flint Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and a real estate firm.
The hotel and its restaurant is set to open to the public on Monday, Nov. 2.
