Developed by Chestlen Development, the 460-key Element Philadelphia is the largest property to date for Marriott International’s global eco-conscious brand.
Aimed at families, groups and business travellers who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle, Element Philadelphia’s guest offering revolves around sustainability and wellbeing.
Element’s entry to Philadelphia
The newest property by Elements by Westin marks the brand’s much-anticipated debut in Philadelphia. This hotel was developed by Conshohoken-based Chestlen Development to contribute to the city’s burgeoning hospitality scene.
“Bringing the Element brand to Philadelphia was a strategic decision to appeal to the wellness-minded modern traveller, who is looking for self-sufficiency, more space to recharge, and amenities that align with their lifestyle,” said Edward Baten, complex general manager of Element Philadelphia.
“As the needs of travel, work and leisure have evolved over the last year, our offering is better suited than ever before to welcome guests with a range of work and life demands. Our flexible accommodations will open at a time when it’s needed most for leisure and business travellers alike.”
Wellness and sustainability
Element Philadelphia reflects the brand’s approach to redefining longer stays with an ethos that encourages guests to recharge and find focus.
The hotel comprises 460 bright and modern guestrooms with signature Westin Heavenly beds, spa-inspired bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and views over Philadelphia. The Sky Lobby then provides open seating for work and relaxation, with additional amenities including a business centre, Motion Fitness centre and guest laundry services.
The property’s food programme highlights fresh, healthy ingredients, from the complimentary Rise breakfast to grab-and-go snacks from the Restore pantry and the Relax evening reception in the Sky Lobby. And the in-room kitchens are stocked with everything needed for guests to cook for themselves, including recipes from local culinary voices.
In addition, guests can then make use of Element’s pet-friendly programme, along with the Bikes to Borrow scheme featuring custom-designed Priority Bicycles plus suggested cycling routes.
Element Philadelphia was designed with sustainability in mind – in particular, improving air quality, minimising pollutants and bringing in ample natural light. Eco-friendly materials and practices in the hotel range from electric vehicle charging stations to the use of 100% recycled paper.
Catering for a range of meetings and gatherings, the hotel will soon provide access to more than 45,000 sq ft of event space as well.
