The debuts of new Autograph Collection, Canopy by Hilton and JW Marriott hotels in Belize, France and Mexico have already turned plenty of heads.

Locally inspired design, an array of unique amenities and exceptionally scenic surroundings make these high-profile properties stand out in their respective markets.

Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection

Autograph Collection Hotels, in partnership with owner and developer Andrew Ashcroft, has opened this boutique resort on the island of Ambergris Caye. Located within San Pedro Town, the scheme spans 20 acres and more than 1,000 ft of beachfront. The island’s first four diamond resort, as well as the country’s inaugural Marriott International property, Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection is set apart by its eco-luxury concept defined by thoughtful design, craftsmanship and a connection to the island.

Brazilian designer Debora Aguiar curated the resort’s interiors with the intention of connecting guests with nature. Natural materials and touches of greenery feature throughout the property, with a colour scheme that complements the ocean views across the 155 guestrooms and suites. This accommodation is joined by 71 residential studios and two- or three-bedroom condominiums, plus eight oceanfront villas; the branded development’s exterior design was led by International Environments.

Amenities within the resort include the country’s first suspended rooftop pool and lounge with 360-degree views, a dive shop providing PADI certification, the K’in Spa and Wellness Centre, a piano bar featuring self-playing baby grand piano, swimming pools with live DJs, a kids’ club and five different restaurant and bar concepts.

Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero

Canopy by Hilton has made its debut in France with the launch of this new hotel boasting memorable views over to the Eiffel Tower. The scheme celebrates its location in Trocadéro, with the interior design of DTACC Architecture paying tribute to the area’s history and integrating nods to the 1930s building’s industrial past. The hotel lies within Paris’ 16th arrondissement, which is known for its 19th-century architecture, avenues, restaurants and museums.

Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero comprises 123 guestrooms and suites, along with the dining venue Canopy Central, serving up an inclusive artisanal breakfast, and the restaurant L’Esprit Nouveau, focusing on seasonality and classic French dishes. Cocktails are served at the rooftop bar, with guests also being offered daily tastings of drinks from local breweries, distilleries and wineries.

In addition to this, the hotel houses flexible meeting and event space and a 24-hour fitness centre with TechnoGym equipment. And guests can explore the surrounding area on one of the hotel’s complimentary Canopy by Hilton bicycles.

JW Marriott Monterrey Valle, Mexico

JW Marriott has launched its fifth property in Mexico with the opening of this hotel in the country’s ‘City of Mountains’, Monterrey. Acquired by Fibra Inn, the scheme is operated by Grupo Hotelero Prisma. The property is located at the heart of the economic hub San Pedro Garza Garcia, with the Sierra Madre mountain range as its backdrop.

JW Marriott Monterrey Valle houses 250 rooms and suites, showcasing a luxurious design that emanates a tranquil residential feel, with muted colours and amenities including spa-like showers. This accommodation is joined by the holistic Spa by JW, along with a 24-hour fitness centre and outdoor pool, as well as the Lobby Bar, Executive Lounge and restaurant Orfebre Cocina Artesana by renowned chef Sergi Arola.

The hotel’s event space spans a total of more than 10,000 sq ft, providing the perfect setting for both business and celebratory gatherings. From the hotel, guests can easily access sites such as Parque Fundidora, Chipinque Natural Park, Santa Lucia Riverwalk and the Museum of Contemporary Art, MARCO.
