FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Fort Wayne Police are investigating after a shooting left one person dead at an extended-stay hotel on the city's north side Tuesday.
Around 8:40 a.m., someone phoned 911, and authorities rushed to Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Fort Wayne off of Lima Road.
Fort Wayne Police said there was a disturbance in a room in building 5 when gunshots rang out.
Police dispatchers told ABC21 one person was initially in critical condition, but later died.
