A larger reward is now being offered for information that helps Riverside police find the assailant who gunned down a 57-year-old Jurupa Valley man outside a downtown hotel more than a year ago.
Grant Leggette Sr. was fatally shot on Valentine’s Day 2020 in front of the Marriott Hotel.
The Riverside City Council voted to replace the initial $10,000 reward posted, upping it to $30,000.
Leggette had just left a Valentine’s Day church event and was headed to his vehicle parked near the hotel when an unidentified individual fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the upper body, at about 10:50 p.m. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene minutes later.
Police ask anyone with information to call 951-353-7138 or email rpdtips@riversideca.gov.
