A mid-scale national hotel chain has opened its newest location in Auburn in time for football season.
Avid Hotel Auburn University Area is located on South College Street. Rooms start at $84.55.
It’s the brand’s 40th property and its third in Alabama, in addition to the Huntsville and Montgomery areas. Created by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the first Avid Hotel opened in 2018.
Locations focus on bright colors and communal spaces, with grab-and-go breakfasts, 24-hour gym service, 24-hour coffee and WiFi, with IHG Studio, a seamless direct casting of entertainment from guests’ smart phones and personal devices to 55-inch televisions in each room.
