Bell County (Pineville, Kentucky) head coach Dudley Hilton is the newest member of high school football’s 400-Win Club. Friday night, the Bobcats beat Knox Central 22-14 for Coach Hilton’s historic win.
Hilton, who is in his 44th year as a head coach, now owns a lifetime record of 400-127. He’s second on Kentucky’s all-time coaching wins list behind Belfry High’s Philip Haywood, who has won 457 games in 47 seasons. After an 0-2 start, Haywood’s lifetime mark is 457-143.

Hilton is currently in his three stint with Bell County, having coached the Bobcats from 1983 through 1996 and from 2001 to 2010. His current stint began in 2017.
The 400-win milestone occurred on the same night that Georgia’s Alan Chadwick also reached 400 wins. Hilton and Chadwick are the 37th and 38th coaches to reach the 400-win mark.
