GRAND RAPIDS, MI — In 1983, when the Amway Grand Plaza’s 29-story tower opened next to the historic Pantlind Hotel, it reshaped Grand Rapids’ skyline, and breathed new life into what was then seen as a dying downtown.
Thirty-eight years later, the landmark tower now has a new imprint on the city’s skyline.
