The historic Westin Cadillac Book Hotel located in downtown Detroit is set to reopen for booking rooms Saturday.
The hotel at 1114 Washington Boulevard closed its doors on March 25 at 11:59 p.m. due to coronavirus concerns. Staff at the time said the hotel would be closed for at least 90 days.
But starting Friday, guests have the ability to book a room and can starting Saturday night.

A representative from Marriott Bonvoy says to call the hotel Saturday to find out about the hotel's amenities and coronavirus safety precautions. But an email sent to those living in the hotel tentatively outlined a phased reopening of the hotel, with rooms only and no food or beverage service available through July. The plan calls for Starbucks to reopen in August and meeting and event facilities in September, with room service and the Motor Bar opening in October.
The hotel opened in Detroit in 1924, when it was once the tallest hotel in the world, Marriott's website says. It closed its doors in 1984 and reopened in 2008. The Westin Cadillac Book Hotel is managed by Marriott International.
